The 2016 NBA celeb game rosters are subject to change, on account of some of the actors getting hired for new roles or perhaps realizing that they are in fact terrible at basketball.
FEBRUARY 13, 2015 -- This year, the West knocked off the Hart's East squad 57-51. But with Secretary Duncan out recovering from injury, the game's MVP was once again Hart, although this time the game's best player may have been something of a ringer. -- NBA.com
Early on, Hart and Little League star Mo'Ne Davis battled one-on-one, in a matchup that appeared to pit equals -- well, at least their heights -- against each other. Hart managed to get to the basket often, and finished with 15 points in 29 minutes. Hart's signature play may have happened halfway through the third quarter, when he battled Arcade Fire lead singer Win Butler for a rebound and nearly flipped the much taller Butler. Atlanta Dream guard Shoni Schimmel added 17 for the East. -- NBA.com
Following the game, Hart announced his retirement. "It's my fourth MVP," he said. "I can't do no more." -- NBA.com

2014 NBA CELEBRITY GAME RECAP
As usual, Duncan and Jordan were the best players on the floor. U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and actor Michael B. Jordan led their respective teams at the Sprint Celebrity Game on Friday, with Duncan's East prevailing 60-56. Duncan filled the box score with 20 points (a Celeb Game record), 11 rebounds and six assists -- the last of which was a sweet, behind-the-head dish to a cutting Skylar Diggans of the WNBA for a critical bucket down the stretch. A couple of possessions later, Diggins found musician/actor Romeo Miller on the right wing for a 3-pointer that put the East up for good. The West missed six free throws and several lay ups in the closing moments and simply didn't have the chemistry that the East had with Duncan, Diggins and Miller. -NBA.com
Beyond the East's big three, NBA TV's Kristen Ledlow earned some redemption for her Inside the NBA performance (when she lost a free-throw contest to Shaquille O'Neal) by hitting two first-half buckets that helped the East climb out of a 10-point hole. -NBA.com
Jordan tried his best to lead the West to victory, but was the focus of the East's aggressive defense. He finished with 16, to go along with seven rebounds. -NBA.com
2014 NBA Celebrity Game Intro
The National Basketball Association announced today stars from film and TV will take the court for the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game 2014 on Friday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. ET.
Two-time MVP Kevin Hart will play alongside Victoria's Secret model, actress and philanthropist Erin Heatherton; "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon; ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" hosts Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg; Jesse Williams ("Grey's Anatomy"); Columbus Short ("Scandal"); Michael B. Jordan ("That Awkward Moment"); U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan; three-time NBA Champion and ESPN NBA analyst Bruce Bowen; "E! News" anchor Terrence Jenkins; NBA TV's "NBA Inside Stuff presented by Samsung Galaxy" co-host Kristen Ledlow; ESPN anchor Stan Verrett; and WNBA stars Skylar Diggins of the Tulsa Shock and Elena Delle Donne of the Chicago Sky. Tickets for the game, airing live on ESPN from Sprint Arena at NBA All-Star Jam Session, will go on sale today Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. ET/ 10 a.m. CT.
ESPN's "NBA Countdown" hosts Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose will coach this year's teams. An assistant coach will be selected through Sprint's Assistant Coach For A Day Sweepstakes. The winning fan will be flown to New Orleans for NBA All-Star 2014 and serve as assistant coach for the West or East.
In 2013, per NBA.com: Not unlike the NBA's two blowout finales Thursday night that ushered in the fun and frivolity of All-Star Weekend, Friday's Sprint NBA Celebrity All-Star Game proved a one-sided affair with the James Harden-coached West squad running all over Russell Westbrook's East squad.
The 58-38 game was good fun, filled with laughter, a few antics and even a bit of decent, even intense at times, basketball action. Actor and comedian Kevin Hart won his second consecutive MVP award despite scoring just five points.
In 2012, per NBA.com: Former Harvard forward Arne Duncan took Center Court at Jam Session and led the East to an easy 86-54 victory over the West. Duncan-sanity was in full force, as the U.S. Secretary of Education who played at Harvard from 1987 to 1991, scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the East. His performance overshadowed MVP Kevin Hart's comedy, Vinny Guadagnino's hair, and the reunion of Run TMC.
In 2011, per NBA.com: Teen superstar Justin Bieber stole the show (and the crowd) by showing off some credible basketball moves with eight points in a losing effort as the East beat the West 54-49 in the 2011 BBVA All-Star Celebrity Game. Bieber took 十大玩彩信誉平台 MVP honors as voted on by the fans.
In 2010, per NBA.com: Michael Rapaport has made a career out of portraying other people in movies and on TV. On Friday night, he pulled off a fair facsimile of a basketball player during the 2010 All-Star Celebrity Game. Rapaport managed only four points for the West team, but his stifling defense on football star Terrell Owens -- the game's MVP the past two years -- enabled him to steal the MVP from T.O. and get the West a 41-37 win over the East. Owens scored 10 points, leading his team, but had only two after the half.
In 2009, per NBA.com: In his day job, Terrell Owens plays wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. When he moonlights as a celebrity basketball player, he's pretty good at receiving, too. Things like alley oops. And MVP trophies. Thanks to a game-high 17 points (but only one assist -- he's a receiver, not a passer, you know), Owens nabbed the Most Valuable Player trophy by leading the East Sunrisers to a 60-57 win over West Sunsetters at the McDonald's All-Star Celebrity Game at Jam Session on Friday.
In 2008, per NBA.com: An NFL star and a hip-hop standout were the driving force behind the win at the 2008 McDonald's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
Terrell Owens, star wideout for the Dallas Cowboys, and Master P, a hip-hop impresario, combined for 35 points as New Orleans managed a 51-50 win over the Hornets. Owens scored 18 points -- including a slam dunk -- and received MVP honors while Master P chipped in with 17 points, including a pair of go-ahead free throws with 19 seconds left.
OLDER NBA ALL-STAR CELEBRITY GAME INFO
The NBA All-Star Celebrity game is never anything too serious, but still loads of fun for anyone who is a fan of at least one the stars stepping out onto the court to deliver turnovers, missed shots, limited hustle, loads of laughs, trash-talk, mugs for the camera, and an occasional layup or jumpshot here and there.
The most famous star in this game is worldwide teenage sensation Justin Bieber. Everything he does, teenage girls scream in celebration, and this event was no different as at least a few younger fans in the crowd (mostly female but plenty of dudes, too) voiced loud approval of anything good Bieber did on the floor.
We'll be posting more coverage over the next few days, including a brief exclusives with Rob Kardashian and Jason Alexander, plus more with Jamie Foxx. It'll probably all go up Monday. For now, here's more:
In the end, Pippen's 17 points led the West
team to a 54-49 victory over the East in the 2011 BBVA NBA Celebrity Game,
but the NBA Hall-of-Famer couldn't steal the spotlight or the screaming
crowd from the shaggy-haired, Grammy-nominated 16-year old.
Bieber was voted by fans as the game's Most Valuable Player, scoring eight
points to go along with four assists, in the East team's defeat. He drew
the loudest cheers with his ballhandling, a few slick passes and several
glances toward the crowd.
Recording artist Romeo Miller finished as the East's leading scorer with 14
points, while former NBA star Jalen Rose added 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting
for the West, which also featured Trey Songz, Rick Fox, Swin Cash, AC
Green, Zac Levi and Rob Kardashian.
Hip-hop star and actor Common scored 10 points for the East team, which
included NBA Legend Chris Mullin, Michael Rappaport, Tamika Catchings,
Mitch Ritchmond, Arne Duncan, Nick Cannon and Jason Sudeikis.
Pippen and Richmond's sharp three-point shooting led the East to a 15-7
lead after the first quarter. The East stayed up at halftime, 33-21, thanks
in part to astute passing by Duncan, the U.S. Secretary of Education, and
Common, who had four first-half assists.
The West charged back in the second half, though, and pulled within three
near the end of the fourth quarter behind Rose's jump-shooting, Miller
attacking the rim and Songz' nine rebounds. But the East wouldn't be
rattled, and Common hit two clutch free throws late in the fourth to seal

Coach: Magic Johnson (NBA legend)

NBA CELEBRITY GAME STARTERS
Starters for the East: Pitbull, Nancy Lieberman, Doctor Oz, Rick Fox and Terrell Owens.
For the West, Robert Horry, Mark Cuban, Scooter Christensen, Chris Mullin and Special K Daley.
And the referee (so far I just see one) is broadcaster Mike Breen.
ALL-STAR CELEBRITY GAME COVERAGE
I am not really covering this game in the play-by-play manner I did in the past. Rather, I'll simply post observations that guide you along.
The game has started. The sport of basketball will work hard to forget that the upcoming action ever happened.
Arriving late due to bad weather is Chris Tucker (actor) for the East and Common (rapper, actor) for the West. But it's huge news that they are here. Now Bill Russell can breathe easy.
Mark Cuban got an offensive rebound. That's the highlight of the weekend. Everyone can go 十大玩彩信誉平台 now.
Robert Horry brought an extra 20 pounds with him.
Chris Mullin's flattop just got a steal.
Nancy Lieberman is a great passer. She's not getting assists but that's the fault of her teammates.
Common is a decent defender, relatively speaking. He's a good role player.
Terrence J dove for a loose ball, and Nancy Lieberman went for it as well. Minor floor collison. is happy to report that no brawl broke out.
As observers of the NBA Celebrity game already know, Terrell Owens can play basketball, and has been an MVP of this game in the past. He rocked the first half with eight points.
End of the first half: East 21, West 19. As expected, it's horrible, ugly basketball -- but fun! THe East shot 39% in the first half, the West 20%. The two teams are a combined 3-of-16 from three-point range. The East is dominating the glass.
The second half has begun, and the dunk of the night so far is a nice reverse from Globetrotter Special K early in the third quarter.
Chris Tucker's gut just rumbled some trash talk in the direction of Robert Horry's gut.
Michael Rapaport scored. I don't believe I've typed those words before.
Know those instructional basketball videos to teach young players the fundamentals? A game tape of the All-Star Celebrity game does not fit into that category.
When will this end? Make the game end.
WIth just a few minutes left it's just a one-point game, and the action has actually gotten more intense. Special K is stepping up. And Angel McCoughtry just pulled up to nail a beautiful shot up top.
This actually looks like real basketball, for a minute. Until a Globetrotter chased referee Mike Breen, who ran over to broadcaster Brent Barry and then ducked, resulting in the Globetrotter nailing Barry with a bucket of water. Then it looked like a Globetrotter game!
Common is a good athlete.
Final score: East 41, West 37. Special K Daley rocked with 18 points. In the loss, Terrell Owens had 10.
For some ridiculous reason, Michael Rapaport was given the 2010 NBA All-Star Celebrity game MVP. He had four points, but allegedly did a good job guarding Owens in the second half.
Read fan discussion of the game, before, during and after the action, in this forum topic.
Full coverage of every weekend event is here on . Though, other events we'll cover live. This one we'll wait to finish and just wrap it afterwords.
2009 NBA ALL-STAR CELEBRITY GAME
February 13, 2009
NBA.com (Rob Peterson) reports: In his day job, Terrell Owens plays wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. When he moonlights as a celebrity basketball player, he's pretty good at receiving, too. Things like alley oops. And MVP trophies. Thanks to a game-high 17 points (but only one assist -- he's a receiver, not a passer, you know), Owens nabbed the Most Valuable Player trophy by leading the East Sunrisers to a 60-57 win over West Sunsetters at the McDonald's All-Star Celebrity Game at Jam Session on Friday... Thanks to the addition of the four Globetrotters, the game itself was not only competitive but entertaining. "It was a pleasure playing with all the celebrities," said "Handles" Franklin, the Globetrotter's 21st Century version of Curly Neal. "They have a lot of charisma and a lot of game."
More from NBA.com: Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, who finished with eight points and nine rebounds, gave the Sunrisers a lead they'd never relinquish with a nice floater. In the end, it was Owens' game as he threw down two alley-oops and scored eight of his 17 points in the final quarter. Phoenix's own Dan Majerle, who had 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range, was thrilled to have the opportunity to play.
NBA Celebrity Game Preview
The NBA Celebrity Game, by far the most silly part of All-Star Weekend, features famous actors, musicians and other celebrities, plus a couple of WNBA players, playing a turnover-filled brickfest of a basketball game.
Basketball Hall of Famers Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins join actor/comedian Chris Tucker, Desperate Housewives James Denton, and Scrubs Donald Faison along with other stars of Hollywood, music and sports in the 2009 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, Feb. 13.
The game will be televised live on ESPN (7 p.m. ET).
Basketball Hall of Famers Magic Johnson (ESPN analyst) and Dr. J Julius Erving, who combined for 23 NBA All-Star appearances and who each earned two All-Star Game MVPs, will serve as coaches for the star-studded teams. Other celebrities-turned-hoopsters competing include Dallas Cowboys All-Pro receiver Terrell Owens (last years Celebrity MVP), Chucks Zachary Levi, and Prison Breaks Michael Rapaport.
To add pro hoops firepower, NBA legends Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins, who combined for 19 NBA All-Star appearances, will compete with former Phoenix Suns All-Star Dan Majerle, three-time NBA champion Rick Fox, and WNBA stars Lisa Leslie of the L.A. Sparks and Kara Lawson of the Sacramento Monarchs, as well as Harlem Globetrotters Wildkat Edgerson, Special K Daley, Scooter Christensen and Handles Franklin.
ESPN NBA play-by-play announcer Mike Breen will serve as celebrity referee. ESPNs Mark Jones will call the game with analyst Jon Barry. Stuart Scott will report from the sidelines.
At halftime, the sellout crowd will be treated to a performance of the Harlem Globetrotters trademark Sweet Georgia Brown Magic Circle including legendary showman, Curly Neal.
All players will be wearing NBA Hardwood Classic uniforms from the 1995 Phoenix All-Star Game. The jerseys feature the retro All-Star cactus logo with the West Celebrity All-Stars wearing white jerseys and the East Celebrity All-Stars wearing purple.
LAST YEAR'S NBA ALL-STAR CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME
Feb. 15, 2008
The NBA Celebrity Game, by far the most silly part of All-Star Weekend, usually features famous actors, musicians and other celebrities, plus a couple of WNBA players, playing a turnover-filled brickfest. Our live Celebrity Game notes are below, followed by the rosters, and then last year's stuff.
LIVE 2008 NBA CELEBRITY GAME NOTES
The two teams are named 'New Orleans' and 'Hornets'. So don't get confused.
The New Orleans starters: Ne-yo, James Lafferty, P.Miller, AJ Calloway and WNBA'er Ruth Riley.
The Hornets starters: Floyd Mayweather, Deion Sanders, Chris Tucker, Tony Potis and WNBA'er Swin Cash.
Last year's NBA Celebrity Game MVP was Tony Potts (Team Hornets).
The first made shot was a jumper from Chris Tucker (Team Hornets), who cannot read the words that are coming out of your mouth.
Potts got fouled, and hit one of two free throws, putting Team Hornets up 3-0.
Ne-Yo (Team New Orleans) banked in a short jumper from the paint.
James Lafferty (Team New Orleans), of One Tree Hill, showed he practices layups, swooping in for a reverse.
Ne-Yo jacks a few more shots, missing.
Floyd Mayweather, then Master P, both score.
Bill Walton, who likes, loudly complains to the refs that his team hasn't shot any free throws yet.
With 2:40 left in the first quarter it's New Orleans 8, Hornets 5.
The play of the game so far was Mayweather stealing an inbounds pass and flying at the rim, drawing a foul. The guy from Heros should fight him, using his magical powers.
The clock in this game keeps running, even as free throws are being shot or the ball is out of bounds. It's to make the pain go away as quickly as possible.
End of first quarter: Hornets 12, New Orleans 9.
By NBA Celebrity Game standards that was a great quarter.
P.Miller, famously known as Master P, shows that while his NBA dreams, which were never realistic, are long over, he's at least capable of hitting a layup in transition with some defenders around.
Deion Sanders, who first name I am still not comfortable spelling the way he does, is still athletic.
"What the... AHHHHH!" yells Steven A. Smith. Note that he yells that at random times during the day, even when not coaching in a Celebrity Game.
"Come on, Chris Tucker, make the simple play," demanded Bill Walton.
Someone, get me a drink. Orange juice, I mean. Drinking is bad, kids.
Chris Tucker, who Walton just demanded fire threes instead of passing, launches from deep in the right corner and splashes it in. That was actually pretty.
The nicest actual play of the game was Floyd Mayweather stealing the ball, running the fast break, and firing to a cutting Potts who hits the layup from the left side while getting fouled.
And in the middle of the second quarter, spotted off the court dressed in a New Orleans uniform is football superstar Terrell Owens. The New Orleans team he's joining is currently down 9.
Almost instantly after entering the game, Terrell Owens scores. And then from the left corner, in Chris Tucker's face, swishes a jumper. He's a ringer, folks.
Floyd Mayweather scores again. He's a baller.
Master P looks 55 years old.
The WNBA players are barely playing, though when they were in they didn't look any better than Floyd Mayweather or Tony Potts.
I want to play one on one with Alyssa Milano (the pretend-coach of Team Hornets), if you know what I'm sayin.
Mayweather and owens are both more athletic than you. In case you were wondering.
At halftime, a NBA Celebrity Game trade rumor broke out that Team Hornets might trade Deion Sanders to Team New Orleans. I'll keep you updated on this shocking information.
Halftime score: Hornets 28, New Orleans 23.
Just as the third quarter started it was revealed that Terrell Owens is pulling a Devean George and refusing to be traded.
Terry Crews is so muscular he makes Karl Malone look like Oliver Miller.
Though, I haven't seen Malone in a year or two, so maybe he actually does now look like Miller.
I've been eating and have pretty much ignored the third quarter. It's Hornets 35, New Orleans 31, with 2:14 left.
I want to play one on one with Gabriel Union (the pretend-coach of Team New Orleans), if you know what I'm sayin.
Terrell Owens has hit all five of his shot attempt and has 11 points.
Players on both sides are getting a bit more aggressive. Nobody like to lose, folks.
Left-handed, heavier-looking Chris Tucker, from three-point range at the right elbow, banks in a three-pointer. I'm unable to confirm he actually meant to bank it, but it appears he did. It's his third three of the game.
End of third quarter: Hornets 40, New Orleans 33.
James Lafferty, of One Tree Hill, hits a pretty sweet-looking mid-range jumper.
Steven A. Smith is now loudly accusing the other team of cheating. He's kidding of course, folks. Just in case you're insane.
Common drove for a left-handed layup and scissor-kicked his legs in the air, as if he was falling off a building. It missed.
And now, it gets exciting. Around 4:30 Terrell Owens drove right baseline and threw down a sweet one-handed dunk. And then stole the ball and dished to Master P for a layup plus the foul. P hits the free throw, giving Team New Orleans a 45-42 lead.
Chris Tucker fires another three, but it wasn't even close. But teammate Floyd Mayweather, who made noise early but has been quiet since, cleans up the mess with a layup.
The game was fast-paced and scrambling over the last few minutes and featured good plays from Owens, Mayweather and Sanders.
With 19.5 seconds left and Team Hornets up 50-49, Master P went to the free throw line and hit two free throws, putting Team New Orleans up two.
Team Hornets, with the game's final possession, resulted in Sanders missing a layup, Common getting blocked, and Tony Potts firing at the buzzer and missing.
Final score: New Orleans 51, Horents 50.
The 2008 NBA Celebrity Game MVP award goes to Terrell Owens who had 18 points and 3 rebounds, all in the second half.

2007 NBA CELEBRITY GAME NOTES
The NBA Celebrity Game showcases athletes, singers and others who can't play basketball but wish they could. Scroll way down for full rosters.
"I don't have any talent," declared Anthony about the West Celeb team he's head coach of. (Greg has Jamie Foxx, James Denton, Reggie Bush, Bow Wow, Jamie Kennedy, Tony Potts, Nick Cannon, Jonathan Silverman and the WNBA's Tamika Catchings). Alongside him is partner in crime Wayne Newton (yes, the real one). "We got a great team, and incredibly great coaches" declared an optimistic Wayne about himself and Greg.
And although the game hasn't started yet we have an injury update: The West's Jamie Foxx has plantar fasciitis.
The opening tip was between Reggie Bush (West) and Michael Clarke Duncan (East). Bush actually won it.
Clarke Duncan actually played community college ball.
Donald Faison (East) drove the length of the floor, plowed into James Denton (West) and got a foul called on Denton. He's being aggressive, jacking up several shots in the first two minutes. And no sooner did I type this than Faison, right under the rim, soared at least six inches off the ground to fire an airball layup. And a play later Faison bricked a fast break layup, but WNBA star Katie Smith cleaned up the mess.
The West team has attempted to take several charges. Someone should explain to them you don't do that in celebrity games.
At 3:17 in the first quarter it's West 4, East 3.
The two WNBA players are guarding each other. Neither doing much yet.
Chris Tucker was fed under the basket. He was wide open, but proceeded to run under the rim and out of bounds instead of hitting the layup with no defenders nearby. It was like a video game that broke or something.
Carrot Top is more muscular than ever. The sight of him is making babies cry.
Jamie Kennedy (West) attempted a three-pointer. He might as well have closed his eyes. It was that far off.
The NBA Celebrity Game is always a ridiculous display of non-talent, and this year is no exception.
Katie Smith has the East's only Field Goal. Everyone else is missing.
At 4:50 in the second quarter it's West 12, East 6.
Major Celebrity Game news: Donald Faison has been traded to the West. What's shocking is this deal wasn't even mentioned as being discussed on the NBA rumors page, so you know it came completely out of nowhere.
"He thought I shot an airball, but it was a pass to Silverman," said Jamie Kennedy after learning West coach Greg Anthony had traded him for Faison.
East coach Tim Legler is doing little so far. No funny remarks. Team is losing. He should probably be fired.
Sweetest shot of the entire first half was a deep two by the East's Reggie Bush. Huge arc on it. Beautiful shot.
End of first half: West 22, East 11.
During halftime, the Las Vegas mayor, accompanied by two half-naked, insanely sexy, bra-bursting women, came out to say hello. A minute later the NBA's All-Star dance team came out and shook their money-makers to a "Get Your Sexy On" track. Bless their souls.
Nothing much happened in the third quarter except Reggie Bush actually turned an ankle. No joke. He left the court and limped to the locker room. Hopefully he's OK. At the end of the period the West led 24-14.
Bow Wow and Donald Faison showed nice chemistry on a fast break.
Stuart Scott, working the sideline, had Wayne Newton sign the key chorus of "These Boots are made for walking. That's just what they'll do." Yeah, that song. Problem is, instead of letting Newton finish the bar himself as every single person in the world would want, Scott stuck himself into it and sang along, ruining it.
Reggie Bush will be fine. No ankle sprain or anything. Just a bit sore. "This probably will be my last celebrity game," Bush told ESPN.
Jerome "Junkyard Dog" Williams, wearing long pants and not on any original roster suddenly enters the game as a member of the West team, who are winning 32-18.
And with a minute left ESPN's Jim Grey was added to the West team, put on a jersey and played about 30 seconds.
Final score: West 40, East 21.
The NBA Celebrity game MVP was the West's Tony Potts, co-ancor of Access Hollywood. He scored 14 points.
Bow Wow, with 8 points (on 4-of-12 shooting) and 2 blocks, was also nice.

CELEBRITY GAME RECAP | UNEDITED LIVE NOTES:
This game is sure to resemble a Lakers-Celtics 1980's matchup... Bow Wow went up for a layup and got rejected by Chris Brown... That it. There are no other highlights in this game, aside from getting to check Eva Longoria out. She has nice hair... End of first quarter: H-Town 8, Clutch City 7... Ice Cube is going to mess around and get a single-single... Chris Brown threw a nice bounce-pass. No assist, though... So far the WNBA superstars don't look any better than the out-of-shape actors and musicians... They should just cancel this game and let Shaq, who is watching the game, breakdance at halfcourt or something... Clutch City is up 11-8 with 3:53 left in the half. Clutch City's Ice Cube has shot 2-of-3 for five big points... Regina King is courtside. Her son is a ballboy in this game. Poor kid... Tony Potts got hacked by Ice Cube sometime in the game and hurt his finger... Lisa Leslie is courtside, laughing at this game... Halftime: Clutch City 17, H-Town 11. Clutch City's Ice Cube finished the first half with 5 points and 3 assists, carrying his team... The halftime performer is rock/pop band Lifehouse, who sang a soft, lovey-dovey, acoustic heart-warming type of song that is as "un-basketball" as it gets. But that's standard for All-Star weekend -- music that has no basketball vibe at all... I spent most of the third quarter focused on my food... Nelly is playing well... Clutch City is up 28-20... Hot Sauce is sitting courtside. His raging 'fro is partially blocking the view of Pete Vecsey's son, himself a fine streetballer... Stephen A. Smith has been screaming at the refs for calls. It isn't happening... H-Town's Becky Hammon has 8 points... Nelly unleashed a beautiful spin-around dribble penetration move and got fouled. Nicest move of the game that I can remember... Nelly is hitting the boards hard... Only two refs are working this game. Quite a burden on them. This is serious business! ... Early 4th quarter, Stephen A. Smith accused Greg Anthony of paying off the refs... Anthony is wearing a pink tie. He claims the color is "salmon," not pink. It loudly clashes with his bright red blazer... Someone please make this game end... With 1:55 left in the game, Clutch City is up 34-28... Nelly has 11 points and 12 rebounds. The best performance ever in this event, probably... Please let this end... For the love of all that is sacred, make the final buzzer sound... And, it's over. Final score: Clutch City 37, H-Town 33. Greg Anthony's team wins. Nelly finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds in a losing cause.
The roster for the McDonalds NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is as follows:
